Jolly Holiday!

Can I just say, isn't this Disney Magic right here!!??! I love this! Belle signing autographs for little girls dressed in their princess dresses and one like Belle! Isn't that perfect??

Ok, since we're talking about Disney Magic, I just had to add this! Isn't this the sweetest thing, ever?!
I got this picture from a Disney Vacation picture website. I hope they don't mind that I borrowed it!

Now, on to what I was really going to talk about, food!

We tried lunch at the new Jolly Holiday Bakery and Cafe. It is now open at the end of Main Street on the left, right in the same building that you used to go in to get your annual pass.

The food was really good! We got the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich and the Quiche Ham and Cheese combo.

The Ham and Cheese quiche combo was a perfect size for lunch, a little quiche and I got it with the salad. It was $7.19 for the combo but, we got a 15% discount that made it a little over 6 dollars.  I don't know if it would be enough for dinner...it would probably depend on how many other snacks (like churros) you've eaten!

Bart got the roast beef sandwich and it came with chips. It was a good size and he said it was really good! It was $9.69, and with our discount it was a little over $8.

They also had some amazing looking bakery treats in there! I really want to try those next!

So, go ahead try the Jolly Holiday! I know we will eat there again!

What's new at Disneyland?

There is a lot going on at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure these days! So many new things, you almost have to go every week to keep up!

Here are some new shirts for the Dole Whip, Churro and Turkey Leg lovers! They are bright and fun and have kind of a vintage look to them!
Personally, I wish they would come out with these in a women's style!

I also just found out that they just introduced cool, new flip flops! I hope to get a picture of those soon. And, I think I want a pair!

New paint and other renovations on the Matterhorn.  It will open again in June.

New, new, new California Adventure! Boy, I can't wait for this to be done!! Opening June 15th!

Cars Land opening June 15th!!! You can take a peak from the Blue Sky Cellar patio! (Be careful, don't get caught standing on the bench!)

Something new to look forward to at California Adventure! Ghiradelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop!!! YES!! (Although, I really miss the tortilla factory! Those were a great, free snack!!)

I can't wait for this summer!

Casey Jr.

Anyone else remember the Disney "Sing A Long" videos from the early 90s?
I think we had about every one of them! My son, who was born in 1990, loved those videos! He would watch them over and over.

Well, that rubbed off onto what rides we liked at Disneyland. One of our favorites was, and still is, Casey Jr. Railroad.  We love it because the song going through the ride is the song right out of the movie, Dumbo. "Casey, Jr's coming down the track..."

When my daughter Jamie, came along she loved monkeys, so of course, we always had to sit in the monkey cage!

Bart and I were just there on one of our Wednesday morning trips. We still love it, even without the kids!
Here are some pictures!

Spring and Corn Dogs at Disneyland

Spring has sprung at Disneyland!! Isn't it beautiful?! This was taken a couple of weeks ago. The sky was blue and the pink blossoms on those trees in the hub were just beautiful! There are spring flowers throughout the park.

It is beautiful! The only thing is, is that it is Spring Break season and that makes for more crowds. (Even on a Wednesday morning) But, it is a great time to go and just enjoy being there!

One of the things that Bart and I (and Jamie) like to eat at the parks is a corn dog! I should say, not just any corn dog, it is the best. corn dog. ever!

You can find these at the Little Red Wagon at the end of Main St. right before you get to the Plaza Inn. They are also at Disney's California Adventure, at the Corn Dog Castle, next to Goofy's Sky School.

Here is the sign with the prices.

For $6.19 you get the biggest and best. corn dog. ever. and a small bag of chips or a bag of apples. (If you have a premium pass, you get a discount and it is a great deal!)

Wow! This has made me hungry for a corn dog! Maybe I'll get one when I'm there on Wednesday! :-)

Oh, and here is a picture of how the work on the Matterhorn is coming a long.
It is a little darker with a little more snow!

Walt's Place

About a year ago, we (Bart and I) had the opportunity to tour Walt's private apartment! Thanks to Barb and BJ Ralphs! Barb works at the park and through an auction, she won the opportunity to take some friends and visit the apartment. This was VERY special, because not everyone gets to do this! It was one of those "once in a lifetime opportunities"!

This is where it is, up above the fire station on Main St.

Walt's daybed.

This is the main room, the red sofas on each side. The lamp on the little table by the window was always on when Walt was there.

This is the kitchenette! A sink, mini fridge and a grilled cheese sandwich maker (Walt's favorite!)
 Dishes in the cupboards.

 Secret compartments.

A music player.

The phonograph was a gift from Walt to his wife.
This picture also shows back to the front door from the main room.

Our guide showing us a picture of Walt and his wife in the apartment.

A picture on the wall of Walt and his wife in a buggy that he used to drive around.

The patio.

Two views of Main St. from the patio.

This was so exciting and so much fun! I feel grateful and honored that we were able to do this. Wish we could do it again!
